The Southern Oklahoma Sportsmen’s Club is located 1 mile west of Davis, OK on Highway 7. Our facilities include a 100 yard rifle range, a 25 and 50 yard bullseye pistol range, a 50 yard rimfire/pistol range, and a 50 yard multi-purpose range.
Only club members and their guests are allowed to use the facility. If you are interested in joining the club, please attend one of our monthly meetings, held at the Murray County Expo Center on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM. The Expo Center is on the north side of Highway 7, about a mile west of Sulphur. We usually meet in the classroom in the northeast corner of the main building. If that room is not available on the night of the meeting, such as on an election night, we will meet in the 4-H office building next door.
Member dues are $96 per year, plus a one-time initiation fee of $20 for new members. Two “work days” are also required each year, and may take the form of range maintenance, helping with matches, or other types of service to the club.
Electronic versions of the club membership application and summaries of the membership requirements are available below. While you can print and fill out the form in advance, you must submit it in person, along with your membership dues, at one of our monthly meetings.

I and a friend are interested in joining your club, we live jusr over the mountains in Springer. Thank you
Great gun club! My husband and I have enjoyed the use of your facility on several occasions. I believe we need to make a meeting, our membership fee is due. We will be giving our son a check for Christmas, so he can enjoy it as well :)
Do you still have Bullseye matches?
Yes, we do. They’re on the second Saturday of each month, and start at 9:00 AM.
I need a match on the 16th or 17th. Do you know of any 2700 in OK on that date?
I talked to some of our Bullseye shooters at our meeting last night, and they said the only match they know of this weekend is at the OKC Gun Club in Arcadia on Saturday.
P.S. Your match bulletin on your website is date 2012.
Thanks!
I would like to join the club although the meeting days are on one of my work days. Is there a way I can get around this?
I’m afraid not. It’s written right in the club by-laws that new members must join at one of our monthly meetings.
Do you have to have a hunters license to be able to join the club?
No, that is not required.
I am considering joining to. Do you allowe skeet shooting to.?
We currently don’t allow skeet shooting, since the range is too small to safely shoot into the air. The range is a narrow strip of land between a highway and a cattle ranch, so every shot has to be directed at a backstop. There has been some talk of organizing a skeet shooting group at some other location in the area, but there hasn’t been any action on that front yet.
Ok. Thank you.
Haven’t noticed any comments in a while, just checking to see if this is still an active club.
The club is definitely still active, we just haven’t had much news lately.
I will be there Tue. Anything other than dues and signature to start with?
Nope. It’ll speed things up a bit if you print out the application and fill it out in advance, but we’ll have copies there too.
Done, thanks.

Do you have to be a member to participate in matches?
No, matches are open to the public.
Are you still having your monthly meetings ?
If not, how does one join/sign up ?
We will be having our June meeting tonight at 7 PM, at the range itself instead of the Expo Center. We’ll be meeting outside to allow for social distancing, so bring a lawn chair.
Where is September’s meeting being held at ??
All meetings will be at the range itself for the foreseeable future.
